Being doers of peace and justice in this world

Amanda Pine

As an interfaith group, the Interfaith Alliance at the Beach, strongly values the central tenants of many religious traditions: a commitment to be doers of peace and justice in this world. As such, we actively offer prayers for an end to violence in Israel, the Gaza Strip, and Palestine.

As believers in the unifying power of love to bring about peace, we call for an end to the destruction and violence which have resulted from escalated tensions. We call for families to be reunited, for love ones to have space to grieve without fear of harm, and for those who are injured to be able to be taken care of.

As a group who has confidence in the power of advocacy, we urge that folks contact their members of Congress to demand that the Biden Administration take action to end Israeli attacks on Gaza. Perpetuating terror does not put an end to terror.

As those who trust in the power of reconciliation, we know that lasting change can only come from an end to the systems of oppression that have led to this conflict. Visit this site to find out how you can be involved in solutions to this.

In the midst of troublesome times, we often feel powerless to help those who are vulnerable. Power comes in many forms, and we always have power to act to bring about a world that is filled with peace.
